Better Late than Never?

Or, why bother?

Today on the way to Mass we passed a man taking down his Christmas lights. On May first. On one hand, it is good that he is taking down seasonal decorations even if it is five months late, but on the other, since some folks leave their lights on their house year round people probably didn't think anything of them staying on the eaves. It's not like he turned the lights on, after all. BUT they were solid red, extra large bulbs, so his house will now look much better without them.
